Sauna

Every sauna is unique! You should sit and keep your feet on a towel. It is important that your skin does not directly touch the wood of the sauna. Remember to shower before stepping into the sauna.

We provide several delightful saunas!

  • Infrared sauna – Where infrared beams shot out walls and leg rests. The IR beams provide relief to muscle and joint pain and can accelerate the healing process of injuries. The sauna keeps a temperature between 40–65 degrees Celsius.
  • Kelo – The large aufguss-sauna with room for 45 people. The name Kelo comes from the type of wood which the sauna is made from.
  • Sanarium – A fusion between a traditional dry sauna and a steam bath. The temperature is kept at about 60 degrees Celsius with a humidity of 50%.
  • Tepidarium – A room heated to about 37–39 degrees Celsius, where you sit on warm benches.
  • Dry sauna – The temperature is raised to 100 degrees Celsius, but the heat is comfortable due to the low humidity.
  • Wood fired sauna – Relax, in probably the most serene way possible, next to the warm fire in our wood burning sauna.
  • Steam bath – Steam and pleasant fragrances are dispersed in a room with a temperature of about 45–55 degrees Celsius and humidity of 100%.

Pools

Remember to shower before stepping into the pools.

  • Cold pool – Cool off after a hot sauna.
  • Warm indoor pool – Relax in the warm water indoors.
  • Warm outdoor pool – Underneath the bare sky.
  • Kneippbad – Walk through alternating warm and cold water in order to increase blood circulation.

Roof terrace

The roof terrace offers lounge chairs, outdoor showers as well as tables and chairs. The kneippbad and warm outdoor pool are both located on the terrace and the wood fired sauna and kelo sauna are both accessible from the terrace.

Aufguss

Badriket offers Aufguss sessions in the large sauna in the relax section. The large sauna has room for about 40 people. Aufguss is a German sauna method.

How does Aufguss work?

Aufguss is done in groups and led by a sauna host, who pours various essential oils over the hot rocks and then uses different tools in order to spread the steam and delightful smells throughout the sauna.

Close your eyes, relax and enjoy. A sauna session is done in about 10 minutes. It is an experience for all one’s senses!

Even those who do not particularly like a sauna session are positively surprised. Try it – you will not regret it!
