Activities for everyone

Kristianstads Vattenrike is an area of wetlands that borders the Helge Å river. It is 35 km long and enjoys international protection. Easy-to-access visiting points are the key to delightful days in the countryside. The area is the habitat of a great many birds and rare plants and has excellent fishing waters.

If boating is your pleasure, then the town of Åhus on Hanö Bay is the place for you. Åhus has a well-equipped marina, too. If you prefer canoeing, then you will certainly enjoy a trip to the lakes in the north of the region.

Cyclists will enjoy exploring the interesting landscape – and there is a comprehensive network of cycle paths for this very purpose.

Ramblers will find themselves drawn to Skåneleden or to the nature trails in many of the outdoor areas. Finally, the delightful Humleslingan trail is there to be enjoyed by bike or from a car.

Golfers are particularly favoured here. Within the municipal borders, there are no fewer than five courses with different features and degrees of difficulty.
